Welcome August. May the calm breeze and blooming flowers of this month bring you peace and happiness!
August is the only month of the year with no federal holidays. It’s the border between summer and autumn — actually summer’s last stand. This month, school starts again while, at the same time, Paso’s "Concerts in the Park" schedule comes to an end. Concerts this month are on Thursdays — Aug. 13, 20, and 27 — from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Downtown City Park. Visit prcity.com for details and the scheduled bands.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association hosts "Let's Make a Deal, Paso" (Trading Day) and the "Kids' Flea Market." This is where hidden treasures find you. There are vintage, new, and used items for sale throughout the City Park. It's where treasure hunting is made fun! Want to sell? Adult spaces are $75, and children's spaces are $5. Call (805) 238-4103 for information or contact Info@pasoroblesdowntown.org
It's time to enjoy the August full Sturgeon Moon, peaking on Aug. 28, marking the full moon of late summer 2026. Look up at the sky on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 27, during the last Concert in the Park, and enjoy this beautiful summer moon.
"With freedom, books, flowers, music, and the moon, who could not be happy?" — Oscar Wilde
Our Main Street Association is gearing up for the busiest season ahead. The agenda is packed full of events of all kinds for everyone. It's the time when everyone comes together downtown for fun, food, beverages, shopping, music, and much more!
Watch the calendar grow!
As we leave August and move into September, remember that each sunrise is an invitation to start anew. Let September be the canvas where you paint your ambitions with bold strokes.
